Burgstadt Camping Park is a clean and quiet campsite located on the grounds of the BurgStadt-Hotel in Kastellaun - perfect for holidaymakers looking for a quiet and cosy stay. On site, guests will find freshwater taps, chemical points, a toilet block with laundry room, and free wifi.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an adults-only site. Children under the age of 14 are not allowed on site.
Owner Heiko Stemmler is the very fond of the UK, having spent many of his own holidays all over Great Britain including Worthing, Torquay, Eastbourne, Exeter, Bath, Cornwall, Nottingham, Yorkshire, Edinburgh and many more. He's pleased to welcome both British and non-British guests to his small, well-equipped piece of Germany.
Situated in the heart of the Hunsrück, the site is surrounded by a network of hiking and biking trails and is also an ideal starting point for tours along the Rhine, Moselle and Nahe Valley.
Newly opened in 2004, the site has been awarded every year since then by the ADAC as one of the 600 best campsites in Europe.
In 2010 our place was also the first in Europe to receive the "EMHC-Wohlfühlplatz" seal of the Euro Motorhomeclub e.V. and in 2015 and 2016 two awards from CAMPING.INFO, each as one of the 100 best places in Europe.
We attach particular importance to the meticulous cleanliness of our sanitary facilities and perfect service. This includes, among other things, electricity connections with "real" 16A, bread roll and newspaper service, supply and disposal at EVERY plot as well as free WLAN internet access!
Especially for hikers and cyclists, we are the first address in the Hunsrück, winner of the "LivCom Award" as "Most Liveable Region in the World", awarded by an international jury in Canada in 2004.

Several premium hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, the 40 km long "Schinderhannes cycle path", guided tours with the night watchman, medieval dungeon dinners at the castle and much more will make your holiday with us a great experience.
The Rhine & Moselle are not far away: The Loreley on the World Heritage Site Middle Rhine Valley is only 20 minutes away, and the idyllic Moselle is only a stone's throw away.
Shopping? No problem. You can reach Aldi & Co. in only 10 minutes on foot. Also ideal for groups: The owner's family runs a bus company that offers affordable, flexible excursions for groups of all sizes. Ask for our information material - we will be happy to advise you! The very special KICK: The hotel has a flight simulator center with Boeing 737 and Cessna 172!
From Cologne take the B51 to the A555 motorway, then follow the A555, A565 and the A61. Take Exit 43 signposted Pfalzfeld and continue on the L215. In Kastellaun turn onto the B327 signposted Südstraße.
From the north on the A61, take exit signposted Emmelshausen, and continue towards Kastellaun.
From the south exit in Pfalzfeld, and continue towards Kastellaun. The campsite is signposted in town.
There is a new bypass road around Kastellaun. Please just follow the signs to Simmern / Laubach and watch out for our green signposts.
