Camping Veliko Tarnovo is a new, purpose-built campsite designed and managed by life-long campers, Nick & Nicky. There is a beautiful 20m panoramic swimming pool with sun terrace and loungers, safe 16 Amp European style electricity points on every pitch, most pitches have dedicated fresh water and grey water drainage.There is a chemical toilet disposal point and RV Service point. Free Wifi internet is available across the site, the newly fitted showerblock has showers which are strong and hot. These are cleaned twice daily. There is a camper's kitchen with grill, hotplate, crockery and pans, laundry with two washing machines, two tumble dryers, outside drying area and ironing facilities together with a family bathroom, to make it easier for families with young children or adults with specific needs.
Veliko Tarnovo is one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Europe, with beautiful architecture and interesting streets to wander along - perhaps you will take the walking tour which leaves daily at 11:00. There are also a range of great shops and restaurants, cinema and bowling. Camping Veliko Tarnovo is also close to the beautifully restored village of Arbanasi where you can see lovely examples of Bulgarian revival architecture and there is a great horse riding stable here if you want to see the countryside on horseback. Etara village is a short drive which is a working village museum where everything is powered by water. The walking and hiking trails from the campsite are plentiful and there are bicycles on site for hire together with route maps.
Drive along the Sofia - Varna road A4 / E772 heading East from Veliko Tarnovo until it crosses Road No.53.
• Turn Right onto exit road right signposted Elena, Road No. 53
• Turn Right at end of the exit road.
• Drive southeast on Road No. 53 for 5 Km
• Turn Right onto minor road
• Drive for 2 Km
