The Ausseerland lies in the middle of the Tote Gebirge mountains and offers the ideal landscape for hiking and mountain tours and excursions. There are many lakes that invite you to swim in summer. Also in the Traun you can swim with the fishes around the competition. But there are also many places of interest such as the Altaussee and Hallstatt salt mines, museums with impressive collections of finds from the surrounding area.
