Not far from the campsite (approx. 1,5km) there is a beautiful lake with a sandy beach which can be used free of charge.
Or you can visit the animal and leisure park Ostrittrum in the neighbourhood, especially families with children will get their money worth.
On request, a canoe tour on the Hunte can be booked with the landlord. The artists' village Dötlingen with its picturesque thatched farmhouses offers numerous opportunities for refreshments.
The North Sea coast is only about 1 hour's drive away. Ideal for a day trip.
