The charms of Shoregrove are enhanced by the presence of two scavenger donkeys, Jasper and Maria. They can sing Mozart, drive tractors, count to nine, and allow tired (or lazy) birds to ride on them. Jasper and Maria, who do not wear hats, add greatly to the ambient and bucolic charm of Shoregrove. Any resort that can keep content a pair of sophisticated but talented scavenger donkeys can do no less for their human counterparts. Creatures with only two feet are twice as pleased by any resort that can please four. A thoroughly enjoyable visit, with and without the tractor-oriented Jasper and Maria, for whom we say "Thank God!"
