…the paradise of rest and leisure time directly at the river Elbe in front of Hamburg. The Campground Stover Strand International makes it possible to combine the beautiful landscape of the Elbe with the entertaining cultural offer of Hamburg City.

Omgeving:
We are glad that you choosed our campsite as your destinastion and we want to give you some information about free-time activities and trips at the Stover Strand and the vicinty. At the Stover Strand you can: •go fishing •go swimming. Two big and beautiful beaches with lawns belong to our campsite. •Ride a bike and skate. The ‘Elberadweg’ (a road for bikes) passes directly at our campsite and goes from Cuxhaven to Magdeburg. By riding a bike or skating you can explore the beautiful landscape or the small villages of the ‘Elbmarsch’. We will gladly lend a bike to you. •Play football or basketball. Our great fields are perfect to practise every kind of sport. •Have a barbecue or a campfire. •Use our children’s playground. •Play minature golf. •Go boating or water-skiing. A habour belongs to our campsite. •Go hiking on the wunderful foothpaths e.g. to the damming up of the Elbe, to Europe biggest fish-staircase, to the bird-protectorate and to so much more idyllic places. Sights at the vicinty: •Winsen/Luhe, the town with the old castle and the great indoor pools with a sauna. •Hambourg, the big city with the great habour, the fish market, Hagenbecks zoo, the great shopping experience, the immense cultural offer (musicals, numerous museums e.g. for art, fishing and seafaring,…), many atractions e.g. the ‘Hamburg Dungeon’, Europs biggest miniature railway,…. We can also give you the Hambourg card which makes it possible to participate on many rides in Hamburg and the vicinity for free and with that you get reduced prices for many museums and sights as well as for city sightseeing tours and habour tours. •Lüneburg, the thousand year old salt-city with old monuments and a modern cure-center with wave- and saltpools. •Lauenburg, town of the fishermen near the Elbe with the Elbe-shipping-museum. •‘Lüneburger Heide’ with the animal park ‘Niendorf’ and the beautiful landscape. •Scharnebeck, with Europs biggest ship lift. •Vierlande, the biggest cultivation of flowers in front of Hambourg. •Friedrichsruh, explore the wide forest ‘Sachsenwald’ with the ‘Garden of the Butterflys’ •Geesthacht, with the modern out door swimmingpool, the ‘Energypark’ and the 3200 year old house of the daeths in ‘Tesperhude’. Elbeshipping: Have the experience of ‘let the daily routine behind you’ and enjoy a romantically tour on to the Elbe. (Groups can start right from the habour of the Stover Strand.) Aankomst:
Our campground is located at the southern bank of the river Elbe between the federal states Hamburg, Niedersachsen and Schleswig-Holstein. Due to the good link of Autobahn (freeway) you are able to get to Hamburg City, Lüneburg or Lauenburg within 30 minutes. The Baltic Sea is only 100 km far away. Approach from the south: Please leave the A7 in “Maschen“ and take the A250 towards Hamburg City. Leave the freeway in “Handorf” and take the B404. Please leave the B404 in front of the great bridge at “Rönne” and take the direction towards “Stove“. Once you reached ”Stove“ look for the shields leading to the “Stover Strand“. Please follow the road on the dike till the end. from the West: Please switch from the A1 to A7 and then to A250 in “Maschen”. The following description is as mentioned above. from the North: Take the A25 leading to Geesthacht and then switch to the B404 in direction to „Lüneburg“. After you passed the bridge please leave the B404 and take the road to “Stove”. The following description is as mentioned above. from the East: Take the A24 and leave it in “Schwarzenbeck“. Then drive to “Geesthacht” and take the B404 once you got there. The following description is as mentioned above from the North. by bus: Once you got to Hamburg central station please watch out for the train S21 towards “Aumühle” and leave it in “Bergedorf”. Then take the train towards “Rönne” (or “Geesthacht” and then “Rönne”). When you arrived in Rönne you can either call a ASM (cheap taxi- 0049(0)4177/250) or take the bus towards “Winsen” and leave it in Elbstorf. It is also possible to take the train to “Winsen” when you arrived in Hamburg and then either take the bus or call the taxi. by ship: If you own a ship you are able to drive directly to our harbour. Sometimes there are bigger ferries coming to us from Hamburg harbour.
