PETS ARE WELCOME.
Naturist Camp Costalunga is located in the middle of a wide tourist area. It lays on the border of the Beigua Natural Park (UNESCO park) placed between the beautiful Ligurian Riviera in the south and the hills of Langhe and Monferrato, with their medieval castles, their ancient villages and moreover their great wines in the north. Furthermore, the camp is located at only 24 kms. from the ferries to Corsica and Sardinia. The picturesque and typical Italian-style town of Sassello is only at 4 km distance. The town is known for its typical sweets (called “Amaretti”) and for the special taste of its mushrooms. Other beautiful tourist destinations are:
• Acquiterme (30 minutes distance by car): famous for its thermal baths and a roman-aged town it is renowned for “La Bollente”, a unique fountain with water at 75 degrees;
• The “Riviera” (30 minutes): it’s the name of the Ligurian coast, lively and busy with its characteristic along-the-sea towns and unique landscape created by the close proximity of the hills to the sea;
• Nizza Monferrato (45 minutes): lively town in the heart of one of the most prestigious wine-producing areas in the world (placed between Alba and Alessandria). The town is known for its red wines and spumanti. The road between Nizza Monferrato and Acquiterme is a breathtaking and panoramic journey between hills that for many kilometers are completely covered by vineyards;
• Genoa (1,5 hours): sixth of the most-populated cities of Italy, it is one of the most ancient and rich of history and tradition. The city is a very important tourist destination due to its unique ancient center (the buildings called “Palazzi dei Rolli” have been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site) and narrow roads. In Genova there are the most beautiful palaces in Europe, true gems, sometimes still owned by privates, scattered and hidden in the city and along the coast. A modern tourist attraction is the Genova Acquarium, second biggest in Europe;
• Alba (1,5 hours): town in Piedmont and main center in the Langhe area. It is the wine world capital: here Barolo, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera and many others are produced. Also very popular is Alba’s white truffle.
• Cinque Terre Natural Park (2 hours): another of the main tourist attractions of Liguria and again a declared World Heritage Site due to its unique environment of unchallenged beauty. The park is made by five small towns built on rocks above the sea, all connected by paths, popular for trekking. In Cinque Terre Park there is also a popular naturist beach: “Il Guvano”.
