Punta Navaccia Camping Village lies along the shore of Lake Trasimeno, which has been declared a Nature Park. Just a stone’s throw away from Tuscany, it is set among the green hills of Umbria, a region steeped in history and culture, called the green heart of Italy for its natural beauty. Punta Navaccia campsite is the ideal place for a carefree holiday in an atmosphere of exceptional hospitality and friendship.
The campsite has a long, wide lakefront with docks and floating platforms. Windsurfing, kitesurfing sailing, and canoeing can be done from the adjacent sandy beach, which has special arrangements with the campsite.
Punta Navaccia covers 70,000 square meters, with 400 shady campsites, 1 swimming pool for adults and 1 for children, jacuzzi, 75 mobilhomes for up to 6 people each, a small harbour with moorings for 200 boats, a large covered amphitheatre, large-screen television and movies, activities in Italian, English, German, and Dutch, fitness club, children’s recreation, playground, disco, tennis, basketball, beach volley, football/soccer, ping pong, boat excursions, camper service, barbecue, a slip for boats, and the Federal Waterskiing School, as well as a café/bar, market, restaurant and pizzeria, internet point and wifi.
The mobilhomes housing up to 6 people (4+2) are 24 square meters (8m x 3m) and fully equipped with kitchen, living room with sofa, bath, shower, a double room, a room with two single beds, heating, TV/Sat, air conditioning (on request and to book in advance and extra), garden furniture with a table, six chairs, one beach umbrella, two sun-chairs, etc., and are hidden in a dense wood, an oasis of peace and tranquility.
The convenient location of the campsite makes it easy to reach towns of great artistic and historic interest, such as Assisi, Perugia, Rome, Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Orvieto, etc., not to mention Tuoro sul Trasimeno itself, the site of the famous battle between the Romans and the Carthaginians in 217 BC, where today one can retrace the various stages of the battle.
